Michael Sakasegawa (b. 1979) is a writer, photographer, book artist, and the host of the arts and literature podcast Keep the Channel Open. His photographs have been included in group exhibitions at PhotoPlace Gallery, the Detroit Center for Contemporary Photography, the Low Gallery, the Escondido Municipal Gallery, and have been featured on Lenscratch and included in group features in F-Stop Magazine, A Photo Editor, and Don’t Take Pictures. Michael’s essays have appeared at Catapult and PetaPixel. Born in John Steinbeck’s hometown of Salinas, California, and growing up in the nearby towns of Carmel Valley and Big Sur, he now lives in San Diego with his wife and three children.
